Baldwin Health Physicians Donate $6,000 to Local Non-Profits in Honor of National Doctor’s Day
These donations, $3,000 to each organization, were made by Baldwin Health specifically to recognize the dedication, clinical excellence and heart of the physicians on its medical staff.
“Our physicians are an integral part of the fabric of Baldwin County, and their impact is felt far beyond our hospital walls,” said Margaret, CEO of Baldwin Health. “We wanted to celebrate Doctor’s Day in a way that reflects their own commitment to healing. By supporting the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center and Pilots for Christ in their honor, we are extending the reach of our medical staff’s mission directly into the community where it is needed most.”
The Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, located in Summerdale, provides a child-friendly environment for victims of abuse, offering forensic interviews, counseling, and advocacy services. The $3,000 gift will help ensure that children in crisis continue to receive specialized care at no cost to their families.
Pilots for Christ offers a unique lifeline by providing free air and ground transportation for patients requiring medical treatment far from home. This $3,000 contribution will support flight missions for local residents who need access to specialized healthcare across the country.
Representatives from both organizations joined Baldwin Health physicians and leadership this week for a photo opportunity to mark the occasion. During the visit, the groups discussed the significant impact these funds will have on their daily operations and shared their gratitude for the doctors whose work inspired the gift.
For Baldwin Health, this day is a tribute to the physicians who lead with compassion every day, ensuring that hope and healing remain available to everyone in Baldwin County.
