South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees Appoints Three New Members

(Foley, AL – June 28, 2018) – Three community members have been named to the Board of Trustees for South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Scott Hardee, Clark Stewart and Doug Warren, all of Baldwin County, bring diverse backgrounds and a wealth of experience to the board. Each has been appointed to a two year term.
The Board of Trustees meets every month and is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s progress toward strategic and quality goals; supporting medical staff development and fostering positive community relationships.
Scott Hardee, received his Bachelors of Science degree from Jacksonville State University and his Masters of Health Services Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While receiving his Masters, Hardee also participated in a two year executive development program through the department of health services administration at the university and as a diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. After 29 years of service, Hardee retired as Vice President of Baptist Hospital in Gadsden Alabama and relocated to Orange Beach Alabama in 2002. He recently retired from Vision Bank in Orange Beach as Senior Vice President. Hardee has previously served on the Southside, Alabama City Council, Southside Lions Club President, Etowah Baptist Association Foundation Board and President of the Gadsden Exchange Club. Currently, Hardee is a member of the Orange Beach Healthcare Authority Board.
Hardee and his wife Sue have been residents of Orange Beach for the past 16 years. They have three children and six grandchildren and are members of First Baptist Church Gulf Shores.
Clark Stewart is a native and lifelong resident of Baldwin County. An alumnus of Foley High School and Troy State University, he joined the staff at WHEP Radio in Foley in 1979, and currently serves as its president and general manager.
Stewart is a past-president of South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, Foley Rotary Club, Foley Quarterback Club, Foley High School Athletic Booster Club, and is a past-chief of the Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department. He has also served on the board of directors of the Snook Family YMCA, the Foley Boys and Girls Club, the Foley Convention and Visitors Bureau, Baldwin County Library Board, South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, United Way of Baldwin County and the Weeks Bay Advisory Committee. In 1999, he was inducted into the Foley High School Athletic Hall of Fame. In 2008, he was honored as the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce “Walton Vines Free Enterprise Person of the Year.” In 2014, he was inducted into the Baldwin County Varsity Coaches Association Hall of Fame for his contributions to high school sports broadcasting throughout Baldwin County and around the state.
Presently, Stewart serves as chairman of the South Baldwin Healthcare Authority, and also serves on the boards of South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, South Baldwin Education Foundation, South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees, South Baldwin Health Foundation and the Pride Touchdown Club. He is in his third term on the board of the Alabama Broadcasters Association.
Clark and his wife, Patti, have two grown sons (twins): Alexander, who works in healthcare as a neurophysiologist, and Joiner, who works in the Baldwin County Public School System as a high school teacher and coach. Clark and Patti reside in Magnolia Springs.
Mr. Warren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University and pursued his graduate work at the University of Alabama Executive Master of Business Administration Program. Upon joining Community Health Systems, Inc. in 1991 he was named Assistant to the President. In 1994, Mr. Warren was named Vice-President Operations and assumed responsibility for corporate operations of CHS’s health care holdings. In 2010 the CHS Board of Directors elevated Mr. Warren to his current position of President & CEO for Community Health Systems, Inc., and its for-profit and not-for-profit subsidiaries and affiliates.
Statewide, Mr. Warren served as a Governor’s appointee to the State of Alabama Licensure Advisory Board where was elected to the office of Chairman, as the two term Chairman of the Board for the Assisted Living Association of Alabama (ALAA), on the Board of Directors’ of the State of Alabama Small Business Consortium through the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a Class XXI graduate of Leadership Alabama. Locally, Mr. Warren served on the Board of Directors for Vision Bancshares and Vision Bank, as Chair of the Gulf Coast Health Care Authority and on the Orange Beach Medical Clinic Board and as Co-Chair of the Education Task Force. Currently he serves as Chairman for the Gulf Shores Health Care Advisory Board. He has served as a Chairman of the Trustees and Finance Chair for their church in Gulf Shores.
Doug, his wife Tamara and their two sons Zach and Drake moved to the Alabama Gulf Coast in 1997. Tamara is a University of Alabama graduate and avid tennis player. Zach graduated from Columbia University in New York City and works for a law firm in midtown Manhattan. Drake attends Auburn University on an academic scholarship.
