Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive Returns in 2026 to Fight Hunger Across Baldwin County

FOLEY, Ala. - Baldwin Health is once again bringing the community together this March for its annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive, an initiative aimed at fighting hunger and supporting families in need across Baldwin County.
The 2026 drive builds on the success of last year’s campaign, which resulted in the collection of more than 1,835 jars of assorted nut butters. Donations were distributed to local food assistance organizations, including Ecumenical Ministries of Baldwin County and Feeding the Gulf Coast, helping provide essential nutrition to families experiencing food insecurity.
Peanut butter is a highly requested item among food banks due to its long shelf life, nutritional value and versatility, yet it remains one of the least donated items. The Jars of Love initiative focuses on filling that gap while encouraging communitywide participation.
This year, Baldwin Health is expanding its outreach and inviting local schools, Chambers of Commerce, emergency medical services, businesses and civic organizations to participate. Groups are encouraged to host collection boxes, organize friendly competitions or create their own incentives to boost engagement and donations.
“Every year, Baldwin Health makes it a priority to give back to our community, and Jars of Love is one of our favorite ways to show that we care,” said Margaret Roley, CEO, Baldwin Health.
“In our community, an estimated 12% of residents experience hunger and don’t have access to enough food. Ecumenical Ministries and Feeding the Gulf Coast is working to address hunger in our area and we are proud to support their efforts.”
The Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive will take place throughout the month of March. All donations collected will remain within the local community and directly support hunger relief efforts.
