Baldwin Health Welcomes Gastroenterologist Robert (Josh) Ousley, M.D., to Medical Staff

FOLEY, AL — Baldwin Health announced today that board-certified internal medicine physician and gastroenterologist Robert (Josh) Ousley, M.D., has joined the medical staff. He will practice at Baldwin Health Gastroenterology, located at 1518 N. McKenzie St. in Foley.
Dr. Ousley provides care for conditions affecting the digestive tract, liver and pancreas, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders.
"Gastrointestinal health deeply impacts a person's everyday quality of life, and dealing with these issues can often feel overwhelming," said Dr. Ousley. "As an Alabama native, it is a privilege to return to serve the Gulf Coast community. I take the time to truly listen to my patients, ensuring they feel heard, comfortable, and fully supported in their care every step of the way."
Dr. Ousley earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, where he was named a Dean’s Scholarship and Eichold Scholarship recipient. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency through the Tinsley Harrison Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Alabama, where he received the Best Fellow Clinical Performance Award in June 2026.
Before earning his medical degree, Dr. Ousley graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Ousley has contributed to clinical research published in peer-reviewed medical publications, including The American Journal of Gastroenterology and Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
